As the need presents itself SAFE hires contracted counselors to help meet the needs of our clients. Below is a list of important information one needs to be aware of if interested in pursuing a counseling position at SAFE.
- SAFE utilizes contracted providers from several different fields and expertise in order to meet the needs of a variety of clients. We work with a mixture of Professional Counselors, Marriage and Family Therapists, and Social Workers.
- SAFE also provides an opportunity for those within these fields who are not yet independently clinically licensed, but are under supervision to gain contact hours and valuable insight into working with the military population.
- SAFE appreciates counselors who have a passion for working with the military population and who have specialties in specific presenting issues that often effect the population we work with, such as, combat trauma, sexual trauma, and grief.
Any counselor interested in working at SAFE should contact the Executive Director, Lantz Smith, at firstname.lastname@example.org to inquire about possible openings.
